<aff>

Requirements:

N.B. Each <aff> will appear twice in the XML. Once inside the <contrib> to which the affiliation belongs , and once before the closing tag for <contrib-group> . This is to accommodate display in both HTML and the PDF.

  1. Place each affiliation directly within an <aff> element
  2. Place the first copy of each <aff> within the <contrib> with which it is associated. Use @specific-use="internal-use", as this first instance is to accommodate a particular feature on Atypon's Literatum platform
  3. Place the second copy of <aff> after all <contrib> elements, but within the <contrib-group>, and do the following:
    1. Give the aff a unique id of the form "aff{lowercase letter}"
    2. Include a <label> element; the label should contain the superscripted, lowercase letter that matches the letter used in the <xref> in the <contrib> (see Authors for more instruction on this).
  4. If the author has an email address, do not include it in <aff>. Instead, include it after <aff> within <contrib> (see the third contrib in the example below and see Authors)
